First of all, we all have agreed with the Facebook data policy to provide our numerous type of data, such as things we do, things others do, our network and connection, our payment details, our device information and lot more.( Facebook data policy ) So what we are trying to do here is use Facebook while giving the least information as much as possible to Facebook.

1. Set your privacy to friends only from here.

2. Keep your friend list nice and clean - do not add people that you don't know even if you do add people who have higher mutual friends.

3. Do not click on uncertain web link addresses - it may contain a virus. even if you do first read the web link address and make sure it is a well-recognized website like, (www.youtube.com, www.twitter.com, etc)

4. Do not connect other websites with Facebook unless its very needful - facebook get to feed about you from those websites.

5. Check and remove all the unnecessary apps that you have gave permission to connect your Facebook profile from here. - keep the list as much as minimum.because of Cambridge Analytica incident did happen from an app like this.

6. Check and remove all unnecessary permissions that you have allowed from your Facebook mobile app and web browser. -

• if you are using facebook mobile app go to ( Settings/apps/facebook/permissions )

7. Turn off face recognition from here. - this can let facebook understand your relationships using photos that you have uploaded or your friends uploaded.

8. Change your ad preferences from here. - facebook sell your data to business companies.

9. Turn on two-factor authentication from here. - you will get one more security check whenever you log from new device.that will keep you away from most of the hackers.
